Manly Slip joint knives

So my 2 Manlys showed up this afternoon. I am in Toronto, Canada and the knives were ordered earlier in the week. They ship from Montreal, Canada (Not USA or Bulgaria) and I was surprised they got here so quick. Pretty cool.

In any case, these are amazing knives for the $$$. They are very well made and arrived with perfectly centred blades and as sharp as any new knives I have received. Perfect grinds and the G10 scales are perfect as well.

Packaging is a basic brown box with a stamped Manly logo and a sticker on the end stating the model info. Includes a couple of hex wrenches for adjustment and a certificate.

Almost all positive after playing around with these for a short time. The only negative I can see so far is that the pivots are not flush with the scales. They are raised a tiny bit. A little more on the Peak than the Wasp. Not a terrible flaw, but it may bother some people slightly as they should be countersunk IMO.

I will be buying a Manly fixed blade and wouldn’t be surprised if I looked at another folder down the road. These knives are a great value.

I will post some pics later tonight or tomorrow, but I am super happy and impressed.:)

P.s. The Peak very well could be my favourite Buck 110 “killer” to date.
the ones in the usa ship from Easton pa. least that's where mine came from on a couple orders.

I bought one of the Comrade models when they first came out. Have carried and used it quite a bit. Happy to say it has held up very well. For the price fit and finish was and still is very good.

Couldn't agree more about the Wasp, S90V and a blade profile that actully cuts like a razor. Major bargin.

Agreed. The thin blade is crazy sharp.

Also a great way for people like me that haven’t tried S90V (or 20CP, 204P, M390, etc.) and want to see what these steels are all about without dropping $200+ on one of the usual suspect knives.

Hadn't used a slip joint since the 80's but the Wasp looked like a pretty solid choice so I ordered one of the red/black handled S90V models as soon as they were in stock. It arrived today and the pull is fairly hard compared to how I remember them being but still very good vs being too light. The blade really is as thin behind the edge as I have seen and the spot in the frame that was being hit on a closed blade is nicely ground flat now, hopefully eliminating that issue. Fit and finish looks very good overall and the blade has no play when open. It almost color matches one of my fixed blades so it makes a nice companion piece.

Who out there has a Manly slip joint knife? How is the fit and finish on these knives.

I have a Comrade. I'm impressed with the innovative design of that stepped tang. Very good fit and finish. I carry it frequently.
