That thing almost looks worse than Dork Ops. Someone explain the purpose it that knife?

I swear that folder is a total chaotic mess of jumbled half started and never finished mall ninja design ideas.

Only judging by the looks though, and it's only my opinion.

Tactical Knives magazine did an article about Mantis knife, and that folder was included in the review. It said that the folder could perform well in the field, and was in the range of hard use folder. Why does Mantis knives have bad rep in this forum ?

Wow, inspired ergonomics, practical blade-shape, nice elegant understated design making it excellent for daily carry and use, particularly around the hoplophobic public at large who may not be comfortable seeing a larger and more tactical looking knife... It really looks like it would just become a natural extension of the human arm, and it probably just disappears in the pocket when not in use, held safely by a nice substantial, grippy, pocket clip, while not interfering with access to anything else it might share its pocket with... I'm really impressed by how thoughtful and refined the design is. I don't see what's not to like.

On the other hand... I've seen tools designed to fold sheet-metal, re-bar, etc... but never a tool designed to fold pure chaos. I wonder... How'd they do that?

that thing has mall ninja wrote all over it :barf:. i agree with steel snob in getting this thread moved to a more appropriate place.

It kills me that they wasted Titanium and S30V on this hunk of shit.

Someone could have made a knife out of it!

1) They have been caught lying about the alloys used in the blades.

2) Mantis knives organized a program to spam BF (and several others) a couple of years ago.

Neither of these actions is easily forgotten, nor easily forgiven.

I can't admit to buying one, but I will admit that I would buy one if the pocket clip could be moved to the right side, and I actually had the money to...

Looks like an Extrema Ratio copy. And, how many seatbelt cutters does the knife need?
