Mantis? Muela? Other?

Alright, i am no longer considering these two, it now comes down to a BK7 (Hearing a lot of good about that knife), one of the Nieto Warfare Knives (191-N, 195, 193) or the Nieto Combat Knife (1035, 1036). The 195 is cheap, but it looks and i have heard it is sturdy.

Would these be better options perhaps? Or am i still not thinking right?

Don't take anything to boot camp. The first Nieto looks cool. I like the smaller one .... it isn't a prybar but will cut most anything that you need. A Victorinox Army might be a good companion for it.

There are tons of other blades to if you have time you can keep looking also ....

If I was going to go with a kabar becker knife, I'd go for the newly released BK-5. If my only restraint was a $70 budget I'd probably go with one of the cold steel knives in SK-5 or Carbon V. Maybe a ESEE3 or 4?

More realistically, you're probably better off with a Multi-tool and a sub 4" folder. Maybe one of the new cold steel triad lock knives. Or a spyderco military.
