Mantra 2, finally got one on the way

Ouch, I think the M4 is not quite right. In cutting a little cardboard a flat spot developed on the edge. I resharpened it thinking I may not have gotten the burr completely off.
Cut again, same thing, a flat spot developed at the same place. Sharpened again, cut again, same blade damage.
Edge possibly hitting something when the knife is folded up?

Mantra series are open construction- two backspacers and a lanyard tube, placed well away from the blade. Unless the internal stop pin breaks, the edge will not touch the internals.

Back on topic, here's my two Mantras- I've been carrying the reground one for about a month now. Sold the stock model a few weeks back to another Bladeforums member.

Nice SaintZe, I bet it slices great now. How thin did you take it down?

:rolleyes:Blade hitting something, really.

I've had 2 knives that hit the backspacers when folded, and 1 that came very close to the standoffs.
Guess if it's not that, or something in the cardboard, must be your sharpening.
