Manual Version of Autos

Hey everyone!

Automatic knives are legal where I live, but they aren't allowed everywhere I go. I like to have manual versions of my autos, or something similar, so I can keep the same familiarity with my knives when I go into a no auto zone or across state lines where they are not legal. I am having trouble finding a manual counterpart to my Benhmade AFO II with tanto blade. I can't seem to find any with the tanto blade, strong handle, and steel pommel. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

What is the distinctive feature a "counterpart" would have? They got a ton of tantos. Plenty of aluminum handles....

I believe the Benchmade Stryker comes in auto and manual versions as well as the Mel Pardue 530.

I believe Protech does a manual version of one of their most popular models. The name is slipping my mind at the moment... But I want to say the TR series or something like that.

TR-4 has a manual version also..

I don;t think the OP is going to find a manual version of his AFO though. I like mine a bunch and carry it everyday but I think a manual version would be kinda awkward due to the width and shape of the handle.

Boker Kalashnikov 74 has both automatic and manual versions, with different blade shapes (including tanto) and sturdy handle, just lacks the steel pommel.
Nice and decent, IMO, not as a Benchmade but still above most Bokers...

I'm not looking for knives with both manual and auto versions. I already have an AFO II and am looking for a similar knife that is manual. Thanks for the suggestions, though!

If I recall correctly, Gerber makes a number of manual folders that are similar in design to the AFO. It may not be ideal, but I suspect it's as close as you're going to get. Benchmade doesn't make anything like it in a manual folder

This is what I was thinking of. Gerber 06 assist.

Yeah, I was thinking I might have to do the Gerber 06 or DMF. I have a Gerber Applegate Fairbairn with 154cm blade coming today, so I might have to wait and see how the quality is for Gerber nowadays...last one I used was a very old paraframe and I love it. Got a paraframe last year and it really sucked!
