Maoists declare truce in Nepal

Part (most) of me greets this news with a GREAT deal of cynicism.

Sorry. Would like to hope for the best, but have trouble.

Hitler had a good song and dance routine.

Attack while their guard is down and kill them all. Start with the known Maoists, kill their family and their next of kin. That is what Stalin did in the Ukraine.

The little bit of knowledge I have with insurgents, is, they don't quit. They bid their time till it is in their favor to act. It is sad, I wish it were different. I'll even say a prayer tonight for peace.

The fact is there is going to be ALOT of innocent lives taken by the Maoists until they finally eradicate all that they see is a threat or a potential threat. They are not going to wake up tomorrow with a change of heart. Sorry it's the truth.:(

If I were younger I wouldn't mind going over to help, purchase the weapons in country. The CIA would probably waste me, acting like they're trying to keep the peace!:grumpy:

The actions of the CIA in many cases makes it very hard to tell who's side they are really on.:(
