I will gladly cut the blocks in that listing into scales if you prefer. These are gorgeous guys.
Hi Gang,
Here are a few more of my beautiful maple burl scale sets for sale. The blocks that they originated from were professionally stabilized by River Ridge and I cut these scales out of some of the more premium blocks to save you, my fellow knifemaker, a little time and effort. They work (cut, sand, shape) wonderfully and polish out like glass. I've added a pic of a knife I made recently with some from the same batch so you may see the final result.
There are nine scales sets available on this posting. They are $25 each plus $4.95 shipping for up to 5 sets; or I'll bundle them - all nine for $195 plus free shipping to the first "Hey Wayno, I'll take the deal!".
Ignore the "blocks" info above as that's for another posting
Here is one of my "Kestrel's" in my maple burl as an example.
paypal@jarrettknives.com is preferred. International sales at actual postage cost. Please inquire.
Note: When I sell wood I think it's fair to list the fine print as I don't like surprises either. There are a couple sets with very minor inclusions (they are solid, but they are inclusions none the less) that can be easily worked with or around. The other 99% of the wood in the scale is amazing and well worth it or I wouldn't post them. That's also why these aren't listed for $30-$35 per set like the commercial vendors charge for similar quality. There are a couple of wonderful makers on the forums here that have used my wood and love it. If you appreciate quality when you see it and use it, then these are for you. If you're just starting out or you expect $50 scale sets for $20........then I'm not your guy.
