Maple & Walnut Cutting Board

I make cutting boards as gifts for family & friends in my spare time. I have an extra one left over from Christmas that could use a good home. It is end cut maple framed in walnut. It is 1 1/2" thick and 11 3/4 X 14 1/2".

That is freaking gorgeous work!! Do you normally coat the surface with anything for protection?
