Marathon GSAR Watch - any bad experiences ??

Those are a fine looking watch. I also like the looks of the citizen Ecodrive blackHawk but being able to switch from a metal to nylon and rubber band is a really nice touch. I think I am going to try to find a nicer looking EDC band to replace the rubber one on My Tag F1 for those more dressy occasions.

I am not a big fan of huge watches and even though I have a Tag chrono I never use the chrono function. I think that 4th red hand tells time in Narnia.

I picked up my new Marathon GSAR last week and absolutely love it, it's a serious hunk of steel !

The optional steel band is definitely a nice upgrade, but a bit pricey. I can't really find anything wrong with it yet, I guess my only complaint is that the second hand has no tritium, so it's a bit hard to pick out the second hand in the dark unless it's just been charged with a light. The tritium tubes make it super visible in the dark. I attempted to take a photo of it in the dark, but it doesn't really convey the brightness of it all that well.

It seems to be running a bit fast, but from what I understand this should stabilise in time.

I have two doxa's, a seiko, a citizen, and a chase durer. My Marathon Gsar gets worn 50% of the time. It's my second one. A better automatic cannot be had for that price. Its hit or miss on time keeping. But I got lucky and mine is +1.5 seconds. The lume on the second hand is weak. Other than the triangle lume on the bezel falling off, and a bent pin on my tsar I love them...
