Hello all. A question on Marble's knives. I am looking at purchasing a Marbles knife listed on the forums by Rumble. Looked at the Marbles site and the only thing that comes close is the Trailmaker, least I think that is what it was called. The thing is it has a 10" blade but this one listed has a 7" blade with the coco bola handle. The blade is the 52100 steel convex ground with half guard of brass. Sheath pic he sent looks mint as does the knife. He called it a "Gamegetter" but he wasn't pos. about the name. Any help from you Marbles owners as to what it may be and the characteristics of the knife etc. Thanks for the help. Keep'em sharp

They used to make 7" Trailmakers, I believe they have been discontinued. "Gamegetter" is a reference to the type of handle, it's the curved wood one.

thanks for the info fella's. I think it is going to be mine. Just wating to hear back on the blade thickness etc. Keep'em sharp

Well thanks all. After much consideration I have decided to pass on the knife. The reason being and the only reason is that my wife purchased a Leuku for me Xmas from Ragnar. It is the high carbon steel model and truth be known I just plain like this knife a ton. I haven't used it that much as of yet but enough to know that the reputation that Leuku's have is justified. The price is very good on the Marlbes and is a bargain but with the two knives of very similar qualities although dissimalar shapes well decided to stick with the Leuku design.

To have a very heavy chopper outside of an axe I have a UTC Seal Machete I purchased from Bill Siegle. This is a shape similar to the Leuku but way heavier. Bigger too by a couple of inches. Don't know why this whopper chopper was not liked more imho but probably the best thing UTC ever put out. ATS34 with a slightly lower heat treat, 58Rc as opposed to 60-61Rc. Seems to be a bit tougher as for not chipping and not as hard to sharpen. Keep'em sharp
