Rare Stag on Stag second model Canoe. 1905-1907. Small MSA stamp, large pommel nut. Handle and blade in excellent condition. $1,200

The most popular and well known knife model made by Marbles was the “IDEAL”. The first Ideals came out of the Gladstone Michigan factory around 1899. The Ideal pattern is said to have inspired all other knife makers of the era and is the standard by which all others are measured. Deep and wide Fullers (aka blood groove) were obvious on the Ideal blade that came in 4 1/4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 inch lengths in the years surrounding WW2.
1931 - 1949 Ideal knife w/ 5” blade.
Three line roller coaster stamp is clean & deep
Full Hilt is polished brass with no nicks or gouges.
Handle is Leather spacers in excellent condition with virtually no wear.
Aluminum pommel with small nut is clean and flush.
Knife is in super excellent condition overall.
$200

The TRAILMAKER is the largest and heaviest knife made by the Marbles Arms Co. in Gladstone Michigan. Named after the common practice of marking trails by chopping bark off tree trunks and following the “blazes” out. This knife features:
Micarta handle AND matching Micarta pommel (hard to find, usually aluminum).
Extended brass half hilt.
9 1/4 inch blade designed by Bob Loveless who was good friends with the man running the Marbles factory and custom designed some blades for Marbles.
This sale includes the knife, Sheath, shipping blade guard and box. Knife and sheath are in mint condition and have never been carried, used or sharpened. NOTE. There is a slight small blemish on blade. I didn’t try to clean it as I don’t want to disturb the factory finish.
$525
