Hi Everyone
I'm a newbie to the forum and I wondered if anybody may be able to give me some information on this Knife.
It originally belonged to my Grandfather. I recently re-discovered it in my workshop and I would dearly like to know how old the knife is.
I've had it since the early 70's but know very little ( in fact nothing) about it's history.
It's incredibly well made and as tough as old boots. I'd just like to get an idea as to when it might have been manufactured.
It's stamped on the base of the blade, MARBLES, Gladstone, Mich. US.
Any information would be much appreciated

a great knife, very rare and worth lots of money. If it were my grandfathers I would never part with it until it went to my grandson. but $7-800 maybe even more can mean a lot.

invented by Webster Marble in the VERY early 1900s and only made for a few years, they were way too expensive for the general market.

Hi
I really appreciated all the comments. It would be really nice just to know when it was actually manufactured.

1910-1925 maybe Bernard can give you a closer idea but if you want the exact year you might as well wish for world peace.

It's been a few years since I re-discovered my Marbles folding knife. Unfortunately things have not been great and I would now like to pass the knife on.
Can anyone tell me the requirements of the forum to list a for sale item ?
