Came across a couple of these NIB the other day while browsing, and was thinking of picking one up as a reward for good behavior:D; anyone have any experience with the Trailcraft? I am guessing they are 1070-6/50100B.

I would urge you to pick one up. fantastic looking knife, plus its a marbles.

Though for some reason, I remeber reading marbles were made over sea's now????

The classic series is still made stateside. Everything else (I think) is made in China.

I have a trailcraft from a couple years back and bought a fieldcraft a month or two ago.In my opinon there great knives, Im quite happy with the steel takes a great edge holds it for a good time and is easy to sharpen.I really like the looks of marbles knives and on my two finish fit of the sheath etc are exellent.

Well, I had a good close look at the Trailcraft today and decided to pass. The fit and finish was OK, but not as good as my Fieldcraft and Campcrafts from the Mike Stewart era. The wooden handle was not particularly well fitted, with some gaps and sharp lips, indicating to me a lack of careful hand work. The sheath was pretty crappy, a not bad design but thin leather. The steel looked OK though and I liked the high flat grind. If it had been one of the older ones in 52-100 I would have snapped it up.
