I have seen some of the Trailmakers with the 2000 stamp described as having 52100 for blade material. Is this a misprint? I was under the impression that only the smaller models had 52100 blades. I could use some help here.

From what I understand the Trailmaker's blade was 5160. I am not sure if the 2000 was different, but I don't think so. 5160 is a great steel and is very good for use when making big knives.
A buddy of mine has a Busse Battle Mistress and had a Trailmaker. I have had the chance to handle both but have only used the Trailmaker. It waas a very could knife tough camp chores like clearing a camp site and making kindling. I really like it. I also really like the feel of the Busse and would love to put it through some paces. Maybe I will get that chance sometime.
