Just to spice things up a bit, I was thinking of some possible contests that we might enjoy. It seems a few of us will be bringing along a slingshot, perhaps a contest of marksmanship is in order?
Here's what I was thinking........
Round #1
(5) Shots at a bullseye target for all Gathering-goers / top 4 scores move to Round 2 (tied scores fire three additional shots until a winner is determined)
Round #2
(3) Shots at a smaller bullseye target for the top 4 / top 2 scores move to Round 3 (tied scores fire three additional shots until a winner is determined)
Round #3
(1) Shot at the same size target as Round #2 / Sudden death until a winner is determined
I will provide a prize for the winner.
I know there are a lot of JK Supporters who cannot attend because of distance, jobs, family, etc. so I don't want to leave you guys out, you can play along at home! Post the name of one of the Gathering attendees (names are in the March Gathering thread) and that person will be your shooter. If that person wins, I will send a Tin Knife your way with your next JK order. You get one pick but you can pick someone that has already been selected. For instance, if three people select Uncle Bill as their shooter, their pic would be Uncle Bill #1, Uncle Bill #2 and Uncle Bill #3 (based on the placement of their selection post, the first person to select Uncle Bill is Uncle Bill #1, etc). If Uncle Bill wins, I will blind draw a number to decide who gets the tin knife. Even though I will technically not be competing for my own prize, you can select me to be your shooter for the "at home" contestants.
