March Gathering?

So looking forward to seeing you guys and having a great weekend! The taters and beans are on the counter and I'll be printing out the targets for the slingshot contest tomorrow.

Can't wait!
 
My bag has been packed since Wednesday! Picked up some cheddar bratwurst yesterday for Saturday`s lunch, so I am ready to go!
 
Maggie is getting the steaks cut today - I will have everything in the truck and ready to go this evening.

We had some weather move through here last night/this morning. Seems to be clearing now. It looks like we should be good!

I just got home from spending a great day with JK and gang at the cabin.
I thought I would only be spending a couple hours up there since I didn't know anybody, but they took me in and made me feel like an old friend.
Thanks all for a great time, great refreshments and capped off with a great steak dinner.
I need help with the names...I've always been so bad remembering names...so someone fill in the blanks, from left to right....

Well Rayban, aren't you the one that I told was going to fit right in with us bunch of nuts? I'm not in there, so I will have to pick up with you in May! You have JK or John to the left! Next you have outdoorsfan or Sean! Next sittin' on his butt, is Mr. Sogetsu or Steve! That's the one we keep the unit one around for! That chipper guy setting next to Steve is Uncle Bill, and that is all we call him! Actually I think Uncle Bill just purchased his first knife at our last "Gathering" if I'm not mistaken! The next guy there is Kiril, I think he just showed up one day with mqqn, and I'm not really sure where he is from now but, I think that him and mqqn work together or something! Next one on the hit parade is jds1 or Jeff, he's the guy that set up things for the cabin accommodations! And last but surely now least is mqqn or Andy! They are a crew aren't they? You have fallen in with trouble Buddy! LOL! You won't run into many guys that have become a family like these guys, and myself included! We all kind of just melded with each other the first time we all got together! Hope I helped you out there! I'm sure that we will be seeing more of you now!

You can't see it very well but if you look very carefully you can see me in the very distant horizon looking with regret that I have never been able to go, ;-D.

Thanks for the pic Rayban, glad you all had a good time.

My wife, son and I went to town to watch the great instead, got out just as they started burning the furniture int he street, so it wasn't a completely uneventful day here in ole KY either....go cats!
 
Thanks for the help FT.....as with all good parties I hated to leave....great fun.

KY...I was happy to see KYU win...I would have been happier to have them play Ohio St. next, but.......

Thanks was a hard loss to watch, they lead for so long, gotta feel sorry for them.

Glad you had a good time at the gathering.

MQQN was a ringer!! Anyone who lettered in three bar events shouldn't have been allowed to compete!!
I plan to file a protest with the Michigan Gaming Watchamacallits...and being from Illinois, we should probably look into his "other records".

We got back a little bit ago, I has a blast! It was good meeting rayban, and seeing the others again. mykel - I tried my best, and even made it to the final round against jds1, but he outshot me. Pictures will come tomorrow. Andy - be sure to thank Maggie for getting us those great steaks, and thanks to Jeff for making us a great breakfast this morning. Thanks to Sean and Bill for the beans and snacks, (and tin cups), to Steve for the paperware, to Kirell for the baking potatoes, and to Rick for those cool paracord bracelets. Officially, in May, we will have been doing these Gatherings for two years, and each one has been a great time!
 
Wow! What a great time, seeing old friends and even making a new one! Thanks to everyone, when's the next one???? :)
