Marchand Parang: My New Yard Knife

I'm glad you like it, Horn Dog. Thanks for showing it off. I have taken your experience to heart and made some handle mods to the parangs. A bit of a thicker tang makes a big difference in shock absorbtion. I drill a few "lightening holes" to compensate for extra stock and retain the same balance.

Rick

Your knife is special to me, Rick. I have many fine choppers, and didn't need another one, but I just love that little parang. Glad to hear you are always improving them, though. It did "sting" a bit when chopping hard wood. The balance is perfect. It's a light, fast slasher of vegetation, for sure.

You seem to be doing rather well for yourself mr Horndog.
That backyard of yours would be called a rather large community park where i live, :D

Nice collection of useful weed deanimators you have there by the way,

I got lucky when my late wife found this swamp for sale. It would still be solid jungle except she wanted to see the salt marsh from the kitchen window, so I had to clear it some. But I left a buffer of natural vegetation all around the 3.1 acres. She was able to keep me home and out of the river swamps more, once I had my own swamp to enjoy. It's the perfect place for me to go out a play with my big knives. :D

Your photos testify to the fact that you have the 'perfect' place to test out your chopping skills. Most of us don't! You probably get much more time in the bush than the normal guy who cruises the BF pages, so in some odd way, I guess we are jealous.

I would call you 'blessed' instead of lucky, although there are some here who have small farms or live closer to the wilderness. Then the trick is to find the requisite time to play!

Horn Dog,

An impressive play pen you have- you must have so much fun.
Congratulations upon acquiring Your Marchand Parang, she is a beauty- I was watching a few reviews on the YouTube, impressive, kept me glued to Wildertool sight. I really enjoyed the reviews, and thank you for the competition as it helps me with decisions on new toys, now all I have to decide on is Siegle, Marchand or Busse B11.
Loving the reviews, thank you again.

Cheers,
Guy
