Marchand's new wrap...

Is this a handle material that you would recommend for someone who process a got bit of game.

I probably wouldn't recommend it as a butcher knife, but it's epoxied pretty darn good and sealed. The only issue would be a good cleaning afterwords...again, not something I would use to process meat on a daily basis, but more than fine for the occasional fish or deer hunting season.

I would have to agree with ROCK6 on this one. The same exposed fibres that give it the grippiness and comfort would also retain fluids if improperly cleaned. Where as polished micarta would just need a rinse... these would need a bit of a scrub. It almost has a beadblasted micarta feel, if you are familiar with that.

That being said, a bit of carnuaba and a run on the buffer would make it butcher worthy. You can run this stuff though a dishwasher, no problems. I recently found out I can drill this stuff for lanyard holes. It quite literally become one solid piece after the epoxy soak.
