I bought this new from a collector here on blade. I don't want to get rid of this knife but unfortunately where I live Damascus anything does not like the salt air and since Microtech does not allow end users to take apart their knives for cleaning I've decided to let this one go. This is a special Edition # 7 of 8 Armor Cored San Mai damascus blade made for Recon 1. The original owner included a brief history of the knife in his email which I have added below with names and prices edited for privacy. Perfect lockup, no blade play in either direction, carried it twice and there is still no carry wear on it, but this knife should be considered used because of that.

Thanks for your interest in the 1 of 8 custom Anax. It is perfect in every way that I can see and feel. The pivot is smooth and it locks up nicely. The blade is centered when closed.
The eight like this one, with Chad Nichols Armor Plate Damscus and flamed Ti frame, all came from Tony via Recon 1. They were listed online at $1895, although I paid $1700 for this one. I had to return a custom SOCOM Delta to them which they had listed incorrectly as mirror polished but was actually hand satin finished. Anyway, the owner, Sako Rouchanian, felt bad and wanted to keep me happy so we made a deal on this one. Very gracious and reasonable guy. He sent me photos of the eight flamed versions and eight others that had plain Ti frame but still the CN Armor Plate Damascus blades. I chose my favorite based on both the flame and Damascus patterns. That is the one for sale here.

Im selling this knife for $1220 Shipped. Thats substantially less than I paid for it. This knife is being sold to directly finance a Grail I have on the books with another custom maker, so Im not interested in trades and I will accept paypal but based on forum status, join date, and feedback I reserve the right to insist on a USPS MO.
