The new large size ADO takes the one piece Microtech Marfione Custom and puts it into a larger size. The ADO-L (Alpha Detachment Operative) was inspired by the one piece knives from Chris Reeve. To make an ADO-L Tony Marfione starts out with a huge chunk of super tough CPM 3V steel, then makes away everything that is not a knife. The whole knife is one solid piece of steel. The handle is hollow and forms a watertight compartment for storage of survival gear. The cap is a big chunk of machined anodized titanium with o ring seal. Tony Marfione is known for his awesome dagger grinds and on the ADO-L, it makes a sleek, double edge piece. Custom leather sheath can be configured for different carry methods. We have all wanted a cool, hollow handled blade since seeing Rambo as kids and now you can have one that is tough enough for the hardest work!
