Marine Tuff Cloth application

I have a couple of questions regarding knife maintenance and preservation. I have a few knives in my collection that aren't users but I keep in a safe/cabinet. I use Marine Tuff Cloth on my knives and would appreciate advice on the following questions:

1. Should I apply the Martine Tuff Cloth to my Fallkniven's that are VG-10 stainless steel (or my Spydercos/Benchmades that are stainless)? Or can they be left like they are in their zytel sheaths in the safe?

2. Should I apply the Tuff Cloth to the coated parts of my carbon steel knives? i.e. my ESEE-6 has the substantial black epoxy powder coating stuff on most of the blade, so at the moment I only apply the Tuff Cloth to the edge and the logos.

3. For both of the above types (stainless/carbon with coating), if I leave the knives in their zytel/kydex sheaths in my safe how often is it recommended I reapply the Marine Tuff Cloth? Each month/3 months/6 months?

4. Not having used T.C much, is there any chance of staining the blades? Or does the layer of tuff cloth oil buff out with a cloth?

Cheers
