A few years ago I used something called ‘Mark Lee Express #2’ to artificially age a new iron tsuba to an antique finish. As I recall, the stuff worked very well. Unfortunately while I still have most of a bottle of the liquid, the instruction sheet is long gone. I kind of remember using boiling water and something else, maybe a baking soda solution?

Anyway, I would like to put an antique patina on a new brass guard and was wondring if this stuff would work. I searched on line, but can’t find any info on how to use it. Anyone have any experience using it on brass? If so, any information would be most helpful.

Thanks
