I just got caught up on the mjsknives saga which has unfolded over the past couple months. What an incredible place this little bulletin board community is. We've got all kinds here....just like the playground back in grade school...bullies, whiners, people of integrity, thoughtful people, loadmouths, honest folks, liars, cheats and thieves, saints too. You get the point.

I can't address the apparent lapse in timely deliveries from mjs. It's BAD and I bet that is how Mark feels about it. I know that sometimes there are unavoidable and unpredictable circumstances in life. What's UGLY is when you get trashed by people so quickly when you are down. What's been consistently GOOD, up to this point, is mjs service performance. I've had several experiences with Mark that run the gamit of knife buying. They include: buying, trading and returning knives. All experiences left me with the belief that Mark is one of the honest people in this community, one of the men of integrity. It seems clear that Mark is trying to get all his accounts squared. What else can a man do.

Mark this post is really for you. Hope things are smoothing out for you. You've got a lot of supporters here. The several threads showed how concerned people were about you. The few nasty posts/personalities are irritating but say more about the poster than they say about you. Your friends know that. Hang in there.

regards,
phil

I agree, this has been a difficult time for not only Mark and MJ&S, but also for the customers involved. Now that the various order situations are being resolved due to good communication, I think it reasonable to let bygones be bygones and get on with our knife hobby.

Yes, everybody loves MARK at MJSknives.com

Even the guy who paid for a knife, waited 87 days and then said Mark was a great guy.

hahahaha.....what a wuss.

I do not know anybody that has had to wait 87 days for a knife purchase, regardless of the excuses.

If Mark was my employee he would have been terminated.

Oh, ya but he is such a great guy. That makes the difference.

Nevermind that he does not reply with calls or email. Nevermind that it took three months to send a measly knife. Was he in France for three months? What a wonderful, considerate, competent business man. Shoot, he is a role model, the beloved Mark. hahaha.

What does anybody do for three straight months that is not at least work related?

I think, I will order a knife tommorrow and expect it to arrive in January 2001. Then I will say he is a GREAT guy.

Got an e-amil form Mark, got a sitrep and things are squared away. Wrote him back and got a reply within a few hours! -Krumbs

HarryCarry, it's over now...find something else to do already. You better hope you never find yourself in the same position that Mark was in, as I'm sure you couldn't handle it. Appearently you've been lucky so far, and don't know what it's like to lose friends, and loved ones. (I have been too.) Your a hero Hari...thanks for standing up for those who can't do it for themselves, and taking care of the bad guy. You'r job is done now, it's time to go.

Did Harikari even make a purchase from MJS while this was happening? Mark has explained what happened as best he can. Either accept his explanation and do business with him or DROP IT! I was displeased with what was happening too but it's over now, it was a mistake, bad judgement, karma, who knows. There are some of us who get caught up in the moment, that don't realize we are taking food off a man's table if he is not allowed to repair his reputation. Harikari, what goes around comes around, it may very well happen to you or I someday.

HariKari, get the FACTS straight. I did wait this long but due to the nature of the situation which you were never privy to all the details there was little else that could be done.

Another thing, other than why I initially decided to order from Mark, please quote exactly where I stated that Mark was a great guy? I do state now that Mark has done what was required to redeem himself and am satisfied that this is being resolved to my satisfaction.

As for the wuss comment, I forgive you as you know not what you talk of. Also, if you can't resist name calling, which by the way goes against BladeForum rules of conduct, then perhaps you shouldn't write such stuff at all.

Just for the record, HariKari and I are not connected or related in any way.

ROFL, he's going at the name calling again!

I remember last time I got in an argument with him, he called me eggroll breath, a wok master, and told me to pass the fried rice and lick dirty dishes with my tongue, then head over to the dry cleaning service to clean his clothes. My suggestion would just be to ignore Mr. Harikari.

BTW, my last order with Mark and MJS Knives arrived in 3 days after he got the payment. I was very pleased.

HAHAHA...who could forget about Ghostsix? Hell, I remember his rampages on the Benchmade forum a long time ago. That was some phunny chit right there.

I think we keep Hari around for entertainment. We just have to remember not to take him seriously.

Odd how a post about mark at mjs turns into a thread about harikari.........

Maybe this is the epilogue to the recent mjs story.... Mark rebounds from his difficulties with his reputation intact and harikari firmly establishes himself as BFC "entertainment", not to be taken seriously.

Hmmm....

ptn,
Sounds like a happy ending to me.

Nothing to be sorry about jackyl. My post was NOT designed to get a response from harikari but destined to. The unkind tone of his post was equally predictable.

I posted because I was glad to see that the knifeman@mjs is still with us and back up to speed.

...and Oh yeah! I remember ghostsix. He got very spooky towards the end of his time here.

HariKari:

Get over it. About 4 months Mark and I had a situation where someone at the post offfice stole a knife Mark had sent me and then refused to reimburse us. {UPS/FedEx from now on...} Mark is making good on this CUSTOM knife at his financial expense. If that's not great customer service, I don't know what is. Sure, it took longer than I would have liked, but that's life. Patience is a virtue, man. We have ALL had some setbacks in our life, and Mark had one, took it like a man , and is now rebuilding his reputation to where it was.

As for Hari-Kiri, We all build Kharma, good and bad, through the actions we take in our life. Somehow, somewhere, we pay, one way or another. Personally, I prefer good kharma. What are you trying to build? BF moderators, please don't ban Harry Carey (Holy Cow!) We need him as entertainment!!

hhhhmmmm....I seen something like this on the Twilight Zone and it turned out that the guy who was Mark was actually this Hairy Carrie guy....so maybe...just maybe....Mark is Hairy Carrie and is just trying to confuse us. He may be a psychology major from a distinguished university and this could be his thesis paper. Then maybe someday he will publish it and we can all see our names in print. Yeah...that is what I think is really going on.

Sorry Mark...we're onto your little game now.

Good news, I received my order today. Got one S/S Calypso Jr. and one Wegner. Both plain edge. Did not get the BM Torx set ordered, but did get $10 in its place. Don't consider missing out on the BMT a big deal but would say that Mark has made good and redeemed himself significantly in my opinion.
