I have a couple of 5685's with slightly different markings and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on the time frame of when they were possibly made.
The markings on the pile side are identical ( CAMILLUS,N.Y. ) but on the mark side, one is marked ( U S M C ) with the letters being about the size you find on current made Ka-Bars.
On the other one it is marked (U. S. M. C. ) with the letters being a little smaller and a period behind each letter.
If anyone has any info or thoughts on this I'd appreciate hearing about it.
