I bought a christmas Gift (the impel Auto) for my father in law from these guys on the recommendation of Nolan from Benchmade and i Spoke with Randy who was to my surprise amazingly customer oriented and his customer service is absolutely the best there is without a doubt in my mind.

there was a minor issue in shipping (i had paid for express shipping $25 for guaranteed 3 day delivery) Randy handed the package off to the UPS guy (they have in-house UPS drop-off and pick up) and he missed the 3 day express and shipped it out normal. once i got ahold of Randy and explained what happened he apologized and called my father in law and said that the shipping mix up was all their fault and he would make it right.

so here it is almost a week after christmas and i received a UPS box from Mark's outdoors with two Kershaw Oso Sweets in it and a note apologizing for the mix up and as a to cover the difference in the price of shipping and the mix up this was my gift from Randy, that is way above and beyond most places would have just refunded the $10 difference and been done.

also Randy worked with me through a longer then normal process to find the exact knife my father in law would like, use, and honestly enjoy (this doesn't seem like much, but when you are trying to do it over the phone it can get time consuming since i am in Colorado and not in AL).

Not only did i get the perfect knife for my father in law at a really great price i also ended up with about $50 in knives for a $10 mix up.

i will continue to shop with Mark's outdoors for my knife needs as they are a top rate company who really are there for the customer and will make sure you are completely happy with the shopping experience from beginning to end.

so if you are ever in the hunt for a knife and need another source to do so add Mark's outdoors to your list of places to call you will be pleasantly surprised.

thanks for taking the time to read my ramblings :)

That doesn't surprise me at all. I've been to Marks about 15 times this year to look at their knives. I am always greeted with a smile by the guys working the knife counter. They are passionate about knives and really know their stuff. I'd recommend them to anyone.

i agree and it was even cooler since i wasn't able to visit in person that i still had a great experience over the phone, in this day and age no to many sales people are as well versed in the items stocked as these guys were. i hope to visit the store one day to see what 6,000 knives looks like hehe.

I've heard good things about them too. Never been there, but someday it would be nice to stop by with a fat wallet. The only drawback is their website gives me seizures. :D

Randy's great. Super nice, and he'll even just sit there and talk to you. I can imagine he's starting to get tired of me, seeing as I call about every day or two :p.
I ordered a Fenix PD35 from them, which turned out to be defective, and so I called Randy the next day, and he immediately sent me another. Thankfully, that one worked. Great light btw.

I have an adult daughter with permanent brain damage due to a hit and run. She lives within a couple of miles of Mark's location, and I am in there at least once a week when I go to check up on her. I occasionally take her in there, as she has always been gun/knife oriented. These guys know when she walks in that she is not going to be able to buy anything. Yet they are always very patient with her, letting her examine guns and knives when she requests it and joking around with her. Randy and the others are good folks.
