Marksman Inferno

That’s a good looking knife. And the Ti version is gorgeous.

I’ve held off buying one just cause of its size. For a pocket clipped knife, for me, 4” is right where I like them.

I really with they’d do a scaled down version like they’ve done with some of their other series, like the Vantage.

I'm looking at buying a marksman, but they're hard to find in my country. So I was looking at the SKblades offering for it.

Now the thing is: I want it to be a really sturdy knife. The original has milled aluminum scales. How do the G10 scales compare? Is there any 'flex' in the scales? Do they somehow make the knife feel less 'sturdy'?

If anyone can offer their 2 cents on this, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

In my opinion the SK version in G10 is better than the aluminum scales. The G10 is rigid not flimsy and the cut outs on the SK scales don’t get hung up on the pocket material when placing or removing. I’ve purchased 3 of them. One I mostly EDC, one new in box on the pile of knives I collect and I gifted one to my brother who EDC’s his and he more so than I puts his to very hard use.

How is the grind on these a video I seen looked like the tip was awfully thick no distal taper. Anyone got a spine shot?

The video you saw was on the "Operator" version of the 830 we did. That version had a flat ground blade thus creating the dreaded "thick tip". These are hollow ground and venerable slicers through and through.

Do you have any of those left?
