Marlin lever actions

My uncle has a Marlin .30-30. Great gun. It makes the cleanest kills when hunting deer of just about any deer hunting rifle I've seen.

have had a Marlin 39A Golden Mountie .22 for 25 years - very straight shooter, great workmanship, never had a problem with it and am passing it on to my son who worships it

I have a Marlin 25.20 lever action that my Dad bought used oh around 1,938I'd guess . It still shoots fine, although it mostly sits in my safe.

I have had a Marlin Golden .22 for over 25 years. It has shot thousands of rounds of ammunition, and is still as good as the day it was made. The only replacement part has been a single ejector claw.

I make one stipulation, however. Marlins in .22 are very finicky about being kept clean and well oiled. They are not a "knockabout" style rifle.

I would buy another one in a heartbeat if I lost this one.

I have a Marlin lever action in .44. I love it. Everything about it is great, the accurracy, fit/finish, etc. I am saving my pennies for a .357/.38 caliber one as well. I am in NJ as well. The pistol caliber lever actions by Marlin are great for us NJ residents since we have very few true rifle ranges. Marlin's pistol caliber rifles can be shot in most pistol ranges in NJ and as far as I know the politicians have not tried to ban lever action rifles, at least not yet.

Don't give them ideas.

I've owned a Marlin 39A since 1970. I shoot it, my kids shot it and now my granddaughters shoot it. Best investment I ever made. That .22 is ready to go into the field all year long.
