Marlin Spike Salt?

Would this be possible? Since the Salt series is perfect for mariners and the like I'd think that perhaps a serrated, yellow handled, Salt with a marlin spike would be perfect! Just a thought; anyone know if it could be done after-market?

This is an excellent idea. A proper boating knife should have the spike, and a Salt series knife with a spike would be the very best knife of this type available by far.

AT one time Spyderco was indeed going to make a Marlinspike Marine knife. With the success of the H-1 SALT series I can't for the life of me figure why they don't already have a Marlinspike knife in the main line up.

I would personally welcome a Spyderco Marlinspike knife. I would make it a point to buy one.

I also hope that the SaLT SeRIEs keeps expanding.

Good to hear I'm not the only one that'd buy one/wants one.

Mr. Glesser I know you're busy but if you've the time... :D

You do mean blade and spike in one right? I don't want to carry a dedicated spike tho, already got 2 knifes and a multitool when I go fishing.

Yes, I mean the blade and spike on the same knife. The spike at the opposite end and side of the blade pivot.

Like H1, dendritic cobalt won't rust, you can get a leaf or sheepsfoot blade, black or yellow handle.

You can get it with a marlinspoke or Photon or both.

Thank you for the reply, sir. I look forward to seeing the final result. It does look like it's difficult. I was thinking that lastnight while looking at it.
