Been a rough week this week and I was ready for the weekend. My wife and I have an anniversary Monday. This is our total anniversary since the time we began a relationship and I decided to take her out last night since the kids were both gone. After dinner I handed her a gift bag with a bracelet from a series she collects and to my surprise she handed me a bag back. She's usually not sure what to get me but she knows I have a fondness for Case knives and she gave me a yellow Sodbuster Jr. a few years back. After unwrapping the tissue paper there was a gray Case box sitting in front of me and to my surprise what was in it is perfect.

I haven't had a stockman since I was a kid. I honestly haven't wanted a stockman as I generally have preferred single blade knives most of my life. But recently I've been getting into knives that have more than one blade and the stockman is a more than capable EDC. I really like this particular pattern of stockman with the rounded bolsters and clip point shaped the way it is.

I look forward to carrying this one a while!

Do you have a stockman or a knife given to you by your wife? Post em up. :)

First off, congrats! I do have a Case Peanut given to me by my wife, but I don't have a pic of it handy. Like many wives/family members, they know we collect knives, but aren't always sure what to buy for us. That looks like a special knife that she must have took to the time to choose. I also love a good stockman, and that looks like a beauty!

My wife have given me various knives thru the yrs.. Been with her for 40yrs and she supports my knife addiction.. Enjoys knife shows too.. Never questions my knife purchases when the CC bill comes in!! John

Congratulations on your anniversary, nice gift!
One of the very many benefits of being knife guys is that we never mind having another knife, makes life easier on our loved ones.

Happy anniversary! That stockman looks like one to treasure. I think my wife is realizing that my fondness for knives isn't leaving soon so the glazed over look when talking about them has turned to why are these so intriguing? Enjoy your special day.

That's a nice little stockman, BMC, I'm sure it'll make a fine EDC. My wife has given me several knives over the years, but here are a couple of the highlights. The first is a Furtaker Trapper in gnarly burnt stag which I received for my birthday a few years back.

Then, a few years later she found a business card for my pal Dave Lisch, and completely on the sly, she presented me with this snakeskin Damascus hunter as a Christmas present. Needless to say, I was blown away!

Happy Anniversary BMC!!

My wife gave this to me when a project we worked on was successful. I am so grateful to her for her support, she is truly a gift too wonderful for words.

Happy Anniversary to you and your wife BMC - very nice gift and a very thoughtful gift for a knife collector. My wife has never given me a knife, but she has given me some nice firearms (I like those too!) This Browning 16 gauge was for Valentine's Day about five years ago (I do always carry a traditional Buck 321 bird knife when I carry this shotgun - but Dad gave me the knife years ago). OH

Congrats BMC. A wife that understands, or at least accepts, our quirks is worth a million.
My wife gave me this one for Christmas a few years ago. She's bought me a few over the years. She's not a knife nut herself but doesn't mind my nutiness.

Happy anniversary, BMC, and congrats on the superb stockman!!:cool: I agree with you on the bolster shape, and the joints on your new knife are almost sunk, which I think makes for better carry quality.

I've given my wife a couple of knives since I became interested in knives over two years ago, but she hasn't given me any since I "went off the deep end". She has no objection to my somewhat obsessive interest in knives, as long as I stick to my time and money budgets for knife-related stuff. But she really got me started back in January 2014 by giving me a little Imperial jack that had belonged to her dad. I spent a blizzardy afternoon cleaning it up, decided to start carrying a knife every day like I did as a kid back on the farm, and soon found myself lurking around BladeForums and acquiring more knives than a sane adult would ever NEED (but less than this reasonably sane adult would ever WANT :D). I've received numerous stock knives as gifts, but all from other knife knuts, not my wife. Here's a photo of the little Imperial my wife gave me that started me down this knifish path.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I've enjoyed seeing the photos and reading the stories. This was our "general" anniversary in that it's how long we've been together. I told her I couldn't wait for the wedding anniversary in a few months. :)

Congratulations to all who have been blessed with a happy marriage. My wife is an angel who tolerates my knife collecting, shooting, and outdoor activities without complaint.

Congrats on your anniversary! Pam has bought me several knives, here are a couple. :D

Congrats on the anniversary! The #54 was a tenth anniversary present from my wife and also my first GEC knife. I carry it often and it means a great deal to me. I'm lucky to have her and even more so that she has dealt with ten years of my nonsense!

Handsome looking Stockman that model. Very decent bone on it. Well done your wife, she clearly has an eye for knives:cool:

My wife or those close to me would not give me a knife, not due to objections mind. They all simply believe I have every knife under the sun  I can't agree with them there though:D:D

Thanks, Will

I had a girlfriend give me a knife once, an old imperial that I accidentally threw out after a flood two years ago. We aren't together anymore really, but still good friends.
Congrats on the anniversary!

Conchita has given me several knives. I have given her a few as well. I have to say her most dramatic gift was a Titano accordion. Now, I did not play the accordion at the time; indeed, I have next to no musical talent. Nevertheless, I was tickled. For nearly a year, I took lessons from the dean of local accordionists, until one November I tore a rotator cuff in a dirt bike tumble down in Arkansas. That was pretty much it.

She's still a good woman.

My wife would never give me a knife for fear I already had it or didn't like it. She really has no idea when it comes to knives.

I also have always avoided stockmans. But I am trying a small one out as we speak and I am quite pleased although I haven't figured out what I would use the other tiny blades for. The knife is 3.3" closed. Almost peanut sized.
