martial arts convention

i see the tae kwon do and kung fu people all the time having a get together of martial arts in the same style. last month my uncle and i were invited to a kajukenbo picnic in vallejo. i want to do the same thing for the philippine martial arts. is anybody interested to do one next year (summer time)?

i have attended two of them, but they are style-oriented. i want to do one with no awards you have to buy, not all one style there, you know things like that. maybe one like the kajukenbo picnic, just eat drink, eat drink, and eat and drink some more! maybe a couple of matches here and there, but everybody just meet eat, and compete (ryming).

i have family in texas, that is halfway across, right? i can ask my aunt to find a place like a park we can rent, and then some cheap deals on plane rides and hotels.

since you're thinking texas, it seems i read somewhere that awsolis was thinking about starting "gatherings" over there.
