For sale - one very fresh and clean Martin Knives of Texas GPC (General Purpose Combat)
This particular GPC must have been a special order as it has an 8-inch blade of S30V, versus the standard 7-inches. The handle is black linen Micarta with red and nickel-silver spacers, and a nickel-silver buttcap and double-hilt.
The sheath is very nicely done black leather with a diamond hone in the pouch.
The knife has seen only enough use to prove to me that it is scary accurate with the point and cuts cardboard packing crates like a banshee. The pics below were taken AFTER those experimental cuts and pokes, so what you see is the precise condition of this knife - excellent!
Both the primary edge and the false edge/ swedge are screaming sharp, as befits a knife of this design. This knife would be very well at home on the patrol belt of a soldier who wants or needs a knife of this sort, or in the hands of a hog hunter who wants a big blade for this purpose.
The sheath shows the normal dinks and such associated with life spent in a drawer, and I am the third owner of this knife. I've got several knives in this category, and I'd rather not see this one spend all of its time indoors. It deserves an owner who will take it an use it well.
I'm offering the Martin GPC for sale at $385 USD shipped in USA, paypal only. NOW $335
I'm not looking for trades on this unless you have an XD45 Compact and you are LOCAL. Not looking for any other trade at this time.
Please email me if interested in this knife or any other in this thread.
