I'm new to this forum, but I've been making knives for some time. I made this folder using Powdered steel mosaic damascus for the blade, then forge welded on a twist damascus cutting bar. Three 14k gold domed pins provide opening ease for the blade with a length of 3 3/16" and the knife has an overall length of 7 1/2". Bits and pieces damascus bolsters followed by dyed and stabilized Giraffe bone scales, anodized titanium liners and rope file worked damascus lockbar and filler. $595.00 includes lower 48 US shipping. Thanks for taking a look and Happy Holidays to all.

Very nice. Is there anything distinctive about Giraffe bone? Never hear of using it yet (I'm pretty new around here)

Peter, what a great 1st post; a real grand entrance. hope to see future posts with examples of your work. do you make your own Damascus for the blades ? roland

Hi Roland, yes I make my own damascus. Started making knives in1987 and made my first damascus in 1990 and mosaic in 1992. Thinking back, that was a long time ago and a lot of fun!

Some of the giraffe bone has alot of character, it takes color well when its dyed and stabilized and it polishes up great. It has gained in popularity since Stag prices have gone thru the roof.
