How do you take the handle off one of these in a way you can easily put it back on with no damage? I ask because I want to give the whole thing a cold blue treatment.

Does taking it off destroy the rivets or whatever is holding it together?

I'm looking at my Golok #2 handle right now and it appears that you might be able to drive the rivets through from one side then re-peen them later. I have never done this, but it looks possible.
