In response to my last thread quite a few folks mentioned they prefer knives without a choil so I thought I would put up a couple of pics of knives we just finished that don't have a choil, or much of one. The big guy we call the Firechief, 4 5/8" blade. The med. is the Firefighter, 4" blade, and the smallest is the Firedawg, 3 1/2" blade.

These all have mortised tangs, 1/4" stock, and flat grinds. We are talking sharpened prybars here.

Those things have quite a potbelly of a handle. I'd love to handle one and see how comfortable they are. Looks like a really good design.
