I vaguely remember these as a kid. But i also remember they were stupid expensive back then too.
I found one at a gun show that tripped my trigger, latent memory, whatever. LOL So i bought the damn thing. :)

Its a brand new Marto Brewer Explora survival knife. All the stuff untouched in the handle.

Are these now collectable?

I have one that I bought back in the early eighties, mine is has some additional hand engravings on the blade for inclination readings. I have never thought of it as collectable. May have to pull it out and try using it for a few days as it was bought and never really used.

Yep, mine has all those markings too. I guess they are very collectable now.

First I've heard of those. Are they hollow handled one piece like the Schrades or separate handle and blade?

As usual, any product from a by gone era
(in this case the rambo/saw teeth/survival knife period)
has potential to become something to somebody, some day.
at it's prime, the design itself had been replicated
in the past by the Taiwanese too.
(that's in the age well before the mainland chinese knives became big time).
However, judging by today's knife styling preferences and standards,
it's had its day as a working knife of choice.
Being one of the earliest and somewhat popular of production survival knives.
there will be life for it as a collectable knife curio representative of its time.
There were many such knives but this design is pedigree.
