Hi all!!

Thought i had better introduce myself!
I am a full time maker from a tiny Town in England called Andover.
I have been making slip joints, for just under two years now, they are my passion! I am self taught, mainly from books and from scanning the web for clues!
I look forward to posting photos from time to time, and chatting with fellow slip joint fans!
Here is one of my latest knives, a Saddle Horn Trapper.
All the best

Paul Mason.

Welcome, Paul, your saddlehorn looks terrific! Rough bark ram's horn is one of my favorite materials, and your grinds and domed pins hit my sweet spot as well.

Welcome, very nice stuff, I was looking on your site, really like the spear point blade on your Coffin Jack:thumbup::thumbup:

AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL traditional knife !!! What steel did you use? Is there a half stop?

Thanks for your very kind welcome! Stitch, i have not updated my website for about a year, and my work has changed quite a lot since then. The coffin jack is a rally nice design, i also make it in a two blade version.
Brother Jim, The steel is RWL-34, blade and spring. All stainless hardware, milled liners and double pinned shield. Yes it has a half stop!
It is a Tony Bose design, he was kind enough to leave the drawings on his web site.

Cheers

Paul

Beautiful knife, Mason. And welcome to the porch.

You might post them all in one thread since it will make it easier for people to see all your work in one place. That way people can subscribe to the thread and see when new knives are added. It's just a suggestion.

I'm going to merge this with you first thread, Mason. Bookmark it and add to it. That way all your work will be in one place for folks to reference and oogle. Welcome to our corner of the world.
