Mason Knives says Hello!!

Beautiful work Paul, as always :)

The bamboo is so unusual looking, but just splendid and I bet very durable. Just a classy small piece, Paul!

Beautiful green wood on the latest, reminds me of fern or bracken - green on top, gold underneath. The shield compliments it very satisfyingly. Going to do a pre Christmas raffle GAW??:D:D:cool:

Thanks for the very kind comments Gents, i always appreciate them:thumbup:
All the knives i post here already have homes to go to, but if you are interested in my work, please contact me via PM to discuss this.

All the best to you.

Paul

Beautiful work there, I love the ivory handles. Your blade shape is amazing. Crisp lines and I love the stout shape of the blade. I would love to see you make one just like this with a curved back swedge like a clip point. Very sexy design.

Just something I would like to see in traditional knives,,,
~it seems to me,, that for all the effort put into filing and grinding out a custom traditional knife,,,
the liners on the traditional are THIN* and the pivot peen could definitely be a screw that is flush with the bolsters.

I would love to see you try to make a traditional knife with liners three times as thick as usual; as to make the traditional knife integral and robust, I would love to see a milling vice and press used to create the room for handle scales/material.

I would love to see a Philips style pivot screw on your lockbacks, or slip joint with a Philips style pivot screw.
This knife would look amazing with an alligator sheath,,, Croc is much to expensive,,,

Remember~ If your knives are durable and will hold up to much use and abuse, you will end up selling more in the long run.

I would very much like to see you try making a knife like this, with a clip point and lanyard pin hole. I bet you could sell it/them for twice as much money, and many people would buy them.

All the best,,,

Paul, are your pieces posted publicly somewhere like Imgur or Photobucket? As this thread deservedly grows its getting more difficult to browse your designs.

- go on to Instagram, then search for masonknives

If you don't know how to do it, ask a twelve year old kid, I do :D :D

- err, Nicholas.....have you been drinking, sir ;) :D

Think you'll find Paul tries to follow in the illustrious footsteps of Tony Bose - ask the same questions to him....!

Your suggestions are fine I'm sure, but perhaps they wander off the path of "Traditional folders...."

Lordy lordy, first Imgur and now Instagram. What I won't do for this beautiful obsession. :beguiled:

- or, if you click on to one of Paul's photos in his own thread, it'll take you to his Photobucket where you can peruse... :)
