Just curious peoples thoughts on this knife? My buddy just bought one and sent me the link but I’m not entirely sure about it.

I’ve never even heard of the nitro steel it’s made of, is it decently good? I love axis locks but know nothing about any other part of this knife. Seems like a good deal at $100ish but I don’t like jumping in without looking first.

@Huntsman Knife Co. Uses this steel in large machete type woods blades with great success. I'm sure he could comment more about the steel.

As for the knife, to me it's meh. Just another in a sea of the same.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't know much about Millit Knives, either.

It looks a lot like a Griptilian 550 modified sheepsfoot, with different scales.

I was planning on doing some more research on this knife, until I saw the Massdrop logo on the blade. That killed it for me. I will not buy a knife that has the dealers logo on the blade - unless it's going for a small fraction of what it would cost without the logo.

No mention of anything to do with a warranty? Wouldnt expect a Benchmade type of warranty or service experience. I'm not seeing anything to get excited over.

i would remove the link before a mod see's it. against the rules for deal spotting from a non supported vendor.

here's another thread on the topic too.

looks like a good knife. epic snuggle bunny has a video on it on YouTube.

Looks well made enough, sport my favorite lockup mechanism and, if I'm to believe what I've read, the price will be reasonable; I'd also be very curious to see how other companies do Axis.
Only thing for myself is that, unfortunately, the blade is all belly and I prefer straight edges on my EDC, so it's a pass for me. Also, not a fan of the big massdrop logo on the blade, but that wouldn't be enough to deter me if the blade shape was to my liking.

Sorry, didn’t realize the link was against the rules. Changing it now

Been trying to bite my tongue. But I gotta know. Is this a licensed Axis lock copy, or is the Axis lock design free to copy now? Real question.

Not so sure about that. I thought they made some updates and reapplied. Could have sworn I read something along those lines in the past year or two.
BM themselves have said that it is expired.

EDIT: Millit is an OEM for a lot of midtechs. Obviously, this is not a midtech knife but based on what Millit can produce I would guess that this will be well made.

I'm not sure why a logo on a blade would stop someone from buying it. It's not like it's a super high end piece that's going to be put on show, it's a reasonably priced knife that is supposed to be used and I'm 99% sure the logo won't impede cutting performance.

Sure, with use it will wear off... and I'll acknowledge that it isn't as "in your face" as some of the other knives they've offered; but the placement is such that it will be there for a while. For me, it isn't a matter of function (obviously) - I don't like that stuff. There are knives by certain makers that I won't buy just because I don't like their logo/maker's mark. Not really any different than telling a car dealer not to put their emblem/sticker on my car - I dont want it there, and I am willing to exercise my choice not to buy something because of a feature I don't like.
