I have a few knives from Massdrop that are exclusives and the quality for the money is very good but their is a caveat. If you received the knife as a gift or bought it on the secondary market and need a part or a repair you're s##t out of luck.
It has been a very unpleasant experience and this never has happened to me before.
A legitimate company that does not stand behind their product is a company that I would not want to deal with again If you received it as a gift you need to track down the person that got it from you and find out what the order # is and only then will they entertain repair or replace.
I forgot to mention that even if I had all the info they don't have parts for it anyway.
This has been a very unexpected and unpleasant experience and I think that I am going to sell off their knives. I feel obligated to also mention the problem in my listing. This fiasco has been very disappointing

It's well advertised that massdrop only warranties the original owner. The og owner should have known this and included that in there for sale or gift info to you. Sadly no one ever does this or they don't know cause they don't look into any of that. Ignorance is bliss.

In any case you can contact the original owner and see if they will do the warranty claim. Else your out of luck. When I gave my MD knife away I told my friend to contact me whenever he has an issue and I'll send it to them to fix.

Again this is something that is known. When you buy a knife you research the warranty of that company. It's important to do.

Giant mouse and a few other brands also do it this way too.

One thing you could try is goto the we knives or reate knives or whoever the maker was usa warranty guy. See if they can get parts for that model direct from we knives. While it may take some time if they can even do it, that may be your only way. If it was Ferrum forge or keen, you can try and contact them to see if they can do anything or give some insight.

Thank you that's a great Idea, I even know the guy that runs the U.S. warranty and repair service. Sometimes when you are angry you can't see the obvious. I'll send him an email.
