Massdrop X Ferrum Forge Buc

I'm glad you posted this as I was about to make a comment about the hump. I think the blade design is ugly as sin but if it contributes to the function then I can't complain too much. Does anyone know how thick the blade is at it's thickest point?

It's got 0.16" stock, but the tall blade profile lets it get thin behind the edge without having a gruesome hatchet grind. It's a superb knife, easily a tossup between it and the Keen for best of the bunch. The Crux and Dogtooth are fantastic as well.

Got mine today and I can't be more excited about it. Maybe I'm easily impressed because I'm a newbie, but boy was this a beautiful thing. Very, very slicey and comfortable to handle. The blade shape reminds me of the Chinese guandao, which in itself is extremely cool.

As for Chinese made knives, sadly that appears to still depend on the manufacturer. This same day I also received a CRKT Razel that won't lock up at all. The liner lock doesn't move over and engage when the knife is deployed, and the LAWK mechanism won't work. This is the second one I received, after returning a first that had the same issues. Guess I'll have to wait for a rare Graham Razel to surface on the secondary market.

But the Buc...all thumbs up!
