massive blade play in my endura

I have a second hand endura which has massive blade play up down, back to front and left to right. The blade is coated and i've lookd for any implications that the knife has been battened and i can't see any. I understand that the warranty doesn't cover me as a second owner here in the uk, but i wonder if there's any fix i could do? iu've tried tightening the pivot in a vice but the handle moulding measn that one half of the pivot is recessed to far.

any suggestions?

Do you have some punches? Get 2 that approx fit the recess where the pivit pin is. Put the larger of the 2 in the vise with the punching surface up. Lay the pivot pin on top of the punch in the vise (you're gonna need the help of a friend), put the other punch on the top of the pivot pin and give it a whack with the hammer. Go lightly at first. You can easily make it tighter by peening it again, but you cannot make it looser.
