I was at the local wood supplier, and woods like cocobolo, santos rosewood, and tulipwood have all increased from about $40-$50/bdft to $100-$200/bdft. If you use these woods, and see them at reasonable prices, buy them. The staff explained recent changes to cites status resulted in the price hike, as the supply dried up. I'm not sure how quickly this will affect in stock items, but the prices will be skyrocketing. Even Katalox was at $100/bdft.

So far Padauk, Purple Heart, Wenge, and other more common woods are not affected.

Paduak and Purple Heart are heavily farmed, and are someone resistant to the price spikes other woods have been having.

Wenge is I serious danger of jumping in price as Africa industrializes moreally of the trees are felled. It is not very farmed.

Rosewood prices are simoly exploding. There was a slight dip when a Guatemalan seller got cities permits, but most of that was bought by Taylor ad they hoped to create a buffer incase of future price jumps.
