Massive Retribution

Just got this in from Jerry Hossom...

Man, can he grind!

12" of 154CM, with more lines and curves than a race car. If you've never had the privilege of holding a Hossom blade, you are missing something. This knife is deceptively light and fast due to the deep hollow grinds, but incredibly strong with a serious convex edge and thick spine.

A few pics that don't do this knife justice:

Next to a Dog Tag for size reference:

Jerry, if you happen to see this thread, THANK YOU for an outstanding knife

Jerry's blades that I've handled were concave but seriously quick and comfy. Nice to see him still turning out pieces like this. Still waiting on my man Gordon to wield one in self defense... :D

Thanks for the compliments guys.

I've had some of Jerry's older work, and while they were all beautiful, his new stuff is without a doubt improved (in fit and finsh a little, but especially in the way they handle.)

I feel privileged to own a small representation of his skills. I'll have to try for a group photo soon...

I've wanted to handle a Hossum knife for a long time. I'd love to put one of his choppers to the test clearing some shooting lanes or cleaning up a fence row. His grinds look like perfection in that style, with the deep concave primary grind leaving a thicker than average edge that he convexes for strength. It's nothing like what I use, but is very intriguing and downrite gorgeous! Congrats on a great purchase!

Thanks for showing this Xaman....I have been looking for a knife that could replace my combat knife and kukri....save weight but still be able to chop and stab and cut....got a FFBM and a Dogfather CG and a Dogfather LE....the FFBM and DFCG were too heavy....the DFLE is not too bad....but the lightness and size of this knife seems perfect.

whenever I see a Hossom knife posted, there are usually lots of people who comment on how they'd like to use the knife. I think that speaks very highly of Mr. Hossom's approach to knife making.
