Mast axe & thank you Memphis

Very handsom tool! How about a profile shot of the finished axe? I want to see more of that handle!

Damn pretty! Seems like if I am gifting something my best foot is forward, but if it is for me the hang won't be so neat. Not bad just not always pretty.
I built a work bench and vice on the cheap out of scraps and parts that where given to me. I will try to post some pictures of it tomarrow. Easy, fast to make and works very well.

Cooperhill, This is what I use for a vice. If I had made it the same time as the work bench I would have saved some lumber. Everything was given to me by friends or scrounged. The hardware was a friends fathers and was rusted together when I got it. I see this stuff pretty regular at flea markets and antique stores. Some times it is all wood. You can make your own if you can find some thing with fast threads. This is a wooden leg vice.

This is the bottom of the legs, they are adjustable by the thin board with holes in it and the dowl. It does not get moved often. The jaws are padded with shoe insoles and coverd with scrap leather.

Pure brilliance. I love it!
