the F1 has a convex edge...not normal V like many others, so maybe you should consider that to in regards to sharpening

I would 2nd the rat cutlery RC-4. It is a compact but extremely comfortable knife. Fit and finish on the RC products is excellent. The mircata handle comes in standard black, but can be had in green mircata and desert tan now for a little more $$. An excellent knife from an excellent company.
Also consider a custom knife. Believe it or not, there are many makers on these forums who will make an outstanding 4" knife for about $100 and change. Consider the following makers: Breeden knives (goes by the handle sicily02 on W&SS); Landi knives; knives by Christof (goes by the handle koyote on W&SS subforum).

The Cold Steel Master Hunter in Carbon V is one of the best hunting knives out there. I've used mine for over 15 years, I have nothing but good things to say about it.The new ones I'd pass on. The F1 is an excellent knife, I have 2 that I've had for almost 10 years now, still going strong.
