I just got a few knives back from my sheathmaker, and I just have to brag on him some. His name is Sandy Morrissey. His Address is 4578 Stephens Road, Blairsville, GA 30512. 706-379-1621. Sadly, Sandy has no website, that's one of the reasons why I'm posting this.

This particular knife is huge (14-1/2" Blade) and the customer wanted a tooled cross-draw sheath for his cowboy rig (wide, thick belt). In the sheath, the knife rides high and easy. The sheath also has a secondary slot in the back for using it on a normal belt. This particular tooling pattern is one he does exclusively for me, but he has many more and they are all gorgeous.

And the best part... He's very reasonable in his prices. I won't quote prices for him (you're free to call and ask him how much) but they are about half of what I've been quoted by other sheathmakers.

Thanks Neil,

Please do, I need some equipment too.

The pic really doesn't do the sheath justice. Behind the scroll, the tooling looks just like snakeskin. In other sheaths, Sandy has dyed the background to look like rattler, python, etc. He's really a super leathersmith.

The knife weighs just 19 oz. Tempt, tempt, tempt

Jerry,

OH YEAH! I am just DROOLING all over the keyboard... I may just forgo the kydex sheath and go with the leather sheath, though not as fancy. I am a sedate kind of guy.
