Three impressive knives from three talented master smiths:

Jason Knight recurve Safari chopper in L6 steel with deeply contoured tiger maple handle, 3/8"+ thick at ricasso with distal taper to point, 10” blade, 15” overall. $795 SOLD

Bailey Bradshaw Santa Fe fighter in L6 steel, 3/16” thick at ricasso, 8 ¾” blade, 14 1/8” overall. Beautiful blued guard and ferrule have some scratches/scuffs, and the exotic wood handle was recently repaired by Bailey leaving a little unevenness in the seam on top of the handle. This would ordinarily be an $800+ knife, but with these imperfections I think a fair price is $495 NOW $445 NOW $395 NOW SOLD

Jerry Fisk Fighter, recently freshened/sharpened by Jerry, with mortised Northern flame-crotch walnut handle, sharp clip, super light and fast in hand, 3/16” thick at ricasso, 6 7/8” blade, 11 5/8” overall. Beautiful example of Jerry’s work. See comments by Matt Lamey on this knife and better pics in posts below. $1,600 Sold

Each of these comes with a leather sheath.

That Fisk "Pit Boss" won Best Fighter at the 97 Arkansas Custom Knife show (i think i have the year correct).

Hi Matt,

Nice to hear from you. Thanks for that, although I'm not sure this is the same knife. Bought this one from Les Robertson who didn't mention any provenance. It was in good shape but not sharp and had some scuffs on the handle pins, so I sent it in to Jerry and he cleaned it up and sharpened it for me--didn't mention a show award on it. He did mention that this is rare in another way. A few years ago, before he moved into his new shop, he struck his MS stamp on a blade and the stamp flew out of his grip. Never found it, even while moving the shop. So for a few weeks while he was waiting for a new MS stamp, the knives he made were only marked FISK with no stamp. This is one of those knives. Kinda cool.

Matt was nice enough to PM me and discussed his recollection of the Fisk above, and also gave me permission to quote him here from our PMs:

…i bought that knife from Jerry right before the show, he took it to the show, won the award and sent it to me. Les wound up, so its likely the same.

Plus its the exact blade lenght, exact piece of walnut etc....

Will, sure, you can quote me, and I meant to say Les wound up with it for sale.

Thats the same knife, as i recognize that Walnut. Regret selling it years ago...

Matt

Very cool--thanks, Matt!

Fisk is now sold pending receipt of funds.

Bradshaw Santa Fe fighter with leather sheath still available.

Bradshaw Santa Fe fighter with almost 9 inches of sleek, super-stabby L6 Mastersmith blade still available for under $500.

Remember, this one comes with a leather sheath at that price.

Here are some photos detailing the scuffs and scratches on the guard and also photos showing the knife in sheath and the back of the sheath, which has a flap to go over the waistband with the sheath thrust through a belt or sash. (Would make a super nice rendezvous piece for authentic period wear, especially at this price.) NOTE PRICE REDUCTION TO $445 SHIPPED INCLUDING SHEATH. NOW $395
