I bought this knife a few years ago and i carry it with my gas bag when on the line. My question is what type of steel did they make it with? How are the original MOD knives rated?

A2 thank you very much. I have the folder as well but the fixed blade for work.

I've always wanted one of these things. It's a beautiful knife, though.

I would love to find someone with a spare sheath. The rubber clip that goes over the top eventually wore out ( blade still clicks in solid to the sheath still). Still sharp as always even after ten years of moderate use it still appears in decent shape.

They're still out there, usually hiding at brick and mortar stores. I saw one a little while back at a mall I college station Texas but they wanted near msrp and I didn't have it at the time. It's probably still there buried under other discontinued knives.

Fair enough thank you. I will keep looking. Knife itself is still bloody sharp and never given me reason to worry
