I am trying to look at knives which have what I would call a "Bowie" or even modified Bowie type look to them. Examples are Emerson CQC, Boker Kalishnakov, and I think I remembered the MOD Hornet or possibly another model with roughly the kind of blade shape I am thinking of.

I tried to find some online sites which stock them, but looks like they are harder to find than they were previously.

Any ideas?

The SOG trident has a very prominent bowie blade shape. I just looked and on knife center for 70 bucks and i just now noticed they have a mini version for pre order. the only reson I havnt bought the trident is because there to big but i will probably get the mini now.

They got acquired by Blackhawk Industries a few years ago, and most of their folders (MOD) are made in Taiwan with cheaper steels (AUS-8A). The Blackhawk Hornet II (economy version of the original) has a clip-point style blade if I am not mistaken.

EDIT: The 685 series of plunge lock folders with blade lengths of 2.9X to 3.75 inches, Zytel handles with traction tape, came with Tanto, Drop-Point?, and Clip-Point varieties.
Reread the OP's first post.

Thanks very much. I didn't realize they had been acquired by someone else. Also checked the Trident (SOG). Nice shape.

I like the looks of the blade in the Hornet II but not sure what to think of the blade steel. I have no problems with the steel if it is for CRKT for example, or something where I am expecting it to be found, but not sure about this case.

Man MOD was some of the best knives made back before 2000. They were basically defense instructor designed Microtechs. Actaully I think Marfione had a role in early MOD.
