Matched pair progression

that's a very vibrant pair, Bailey. excellent intermarriaging of materials. i love everything about it! texture, color, geometry, you name it.

like many here i am envious...i also like and try to collect Bailey's work. i like everything he builds. a Bradshaw bowie is still on my wish list.

Well, I have had my hands full today with less pleasant matters, but the arrival earlier of this fantastic pair was a high point. Having owned several examples of Bailey's work I really should be beyond surprise at this point, but thankfully that isn't so. This pair absolutely knocked my socks off! You can be sure that I will post more when I have a chance to take some pics. They are stunning, but I can already tell they will be tough to photograph. I will do my best.

Bailey-
I just love the way you use facets on your handles like that. The overall shape and flow of your designs follows my own tastes very closely. I have often said that if I could afford a good custom piece, you'd be the first maker I'd go to.

Even if I can't afford anything, I hope I get the chance to talk to you sometime at a show or something. I don't get out much though; do you ever come to shows in the Greater Saint Louis/ Southern Illinois area?

Thanks for all the compliments and motivation!!

Possum,

I don't know of any shows in your area, but if I ever do pass through, I will let you know in advance.

Bailey,
Gorgeous knives! Don't forget to save some of that Maidou burl for my FB4.

Okay guys,

Here are a few quick pics of this terrific set:

Another full shot with the knives resting on their nifty double-sheath:

And finally, the knives securely tucked away kangaroo style:

As I expected, these were tough to photograph - they are far better yet than the images suggest. Great work Bailey - I could not be more pleased.

Floored again and the set could not have gone to a better soul!

Congrats on another fine job Bailey and Roger.
